Coach Lou Wilson with his two past student athletes at the MEAC Championship Tournament. He coached Tyler Thornton when he played for the Capital Classics in 2010 and Kenneth Blakeney when he was with the Executive Three team in 1987.

Dr. E. B. Henderson was a charter member of the Pigskin Club of Washington, Inc. Last year, the University of the District of Columbia honored Dr. Henderson by naming the University's Sports Complex after him. Pigskinner, Barrington Scott, has worked tirelessly on this project and will keep us up to date as new events are schedule.

February 26, 2023 - The Pigskin Club of Washington held its Annual Fall Sports Awards Banquet on Friday, February 24, 2023. The event was held at Catholic University of America, Pryzbyla Center at 7:00 pm. For more than eight decades, the club has delighted in being able to recognize the academic and athletic excellence of high school and college athletes, professional athletes and outstanding community outreach individuals and organizations.
The evening also was an opportunity to honor Caleb Williams, 2022 Heisman Trophy winner with the John L. Young Award, NCAA Division 1 Offensive Player of the Year; the Frank P. Bolden Award was given to Rakim Jarrett, University of Maryland Wide Receiver; the William G. "Billy" Coward Award to Coach Michael Locksley, University of Maryland; the John W. Posey Award to DC Divas (National Women's Football Association) Shaquanda Gainey and Narcesca Arzu, the Award of Excellence to Mitch Credle, former detective, the Community Service to Miles Rawls, the Award of Honor was given to One City All-Star Extravaganza Foundation, Inc., and the Special Recognition Award to DMV Athletes in Action, Inc.

The Pigskin Club of Washington is included in the District of Columbia's Civil Rights Tour of historic spaces and places related to Recreation, Sports and Civil Rights. DC Historic Sites was developed by the DC Preservation League with financial assistance from the DC Historic Preservation Office and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Pigskin Club Member Louis C. Wilson Honored at Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) Hall of Fame Gala

LouisC. Wilson, Pigskin Club member and PGCPS basketball coach, will be inducted into the PGCPS Hall of Fame at a televised gala. The event is an opportunity to show support for the Excellence in Education Fountation for PGCPS while at the same time celebrating distinguished PGCPS alumni.
This year due to the pandemic, the gala is a virtual experience and will be aired twice on WJLA TV/ABC7 on Friday, November 6, 2020, and Sunday, November 8, 2020.
Other Hall of Fame inductees are: Congressman Steny Hoyer, Martin Lawrence, Sam Brin, Abby Phillips, Richard Arnold and Oretha Bridgewater-Simms.

2019 Redskins Training Camp Trip
The PIGSKIN CLUB OF WASHINGTON, INC., sponsored it's annual field trip to the Washington Redskins training camp in Richmond Virginia on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Children 18 and under were allowed to participate for free. The bus departed and returned to St. Anthony of Padua Church in Washington, D.C. Lunch was also provided courtesy of the Pigskin Club.
